In this letter, Charles Dickens gives permission to the "Cercle de la librairie" to distribute his new book "Break house" throughout France. This book is a double narrative (1st and 3rd person accounts) published just after the novel "David Copperfield". The French translation is enclosed. A very rare document on the history of 19th-century English literature. Charles Dickens' signature is spectacular from a graphological point of view.
