Handwritten and signed letter from Louis XIII to the Duc de Bouillon (Henri de la Tour D'auvergne), Prince of Sedan and father of the great Turenne. He was raised with the Prince d'Alençon, last son of King Henri II. "My cousin, I remain entirely satisfied with the affection you have shown me...I do not beg you to continue it, taking it for granted that you will never fail to do so...". Very moving testimony from the young King. Letter written at the Chateau d'Amboise on May 18, 1619. TB closure with 2 wax seals and royal crown with 3 fleurs de Lys for this exceptional document. Personal letters from Louis XIII are very rare.
