206. PASQUIER (Etienne-Denis, dit le Chancelier). Memoirs pu - Lot 206
206. PASQUIER (Etienne-Denis, dit le Chancelier). Memoirs published by M. le Duc d'Audiffret-Pasquier. Paris, Plon, 1893-95. 6 vol. gd in-8, turquoise blue half-chagrin, spine ribbed. These memoirs cover a period from Louis XVI to the trial of Charles X's ministers (1830), providing invaluable testimony on the different regimes Pasquier knew and served. Indispensable for the domestic history of the Empire, the memoirs are equally remarkable for the Restoration period, providing an instructive overview of political and social changes. Minor defects. Good condition, minor flaws.
