243. DUMAS (Alexandre). Alexandre Dumas illustré. Paris, Le - Lot 243

243. DUMAS (Alexandre). Alexandre Dumas illustré. Paris, Le Vasseur, s. d. (1907). 25 volumes in-4, publisher's binding in red chagrined percaline, spine decorated and titled, boards decorated with a large cold portrait plate. Numerous illustrations. 60 volumes in 25 in-4°, for this collective edition of the complete works. This popular edition, printed on two columns, is lavishly illustrated with woodcuts by the finest artists of the day: Grandville, Johannot, Nanteuil, Leloir, Steinlen and others. The first volume suffers from defects, coming from another set, although very similar in appearance, boards without the embossing, frontispiece partially stuck on the flyleaf, lack of paper on the title page, without affecting the text, various repairs, worn corners. The other volumes are in good general condition, various minor defects but satisfactory overall. Not collated.
